Terry
Drymon
Terry grew up in Tampa and got excited about
broadcasting and photography at a very early age. When he was
only 14, he covered President Kennedy's visit to Tampa for his
school paper, The Buchanan Junior High School Buccaneer, and
nearly got clubbed by the Secret Service for getting to close
to the chief executive.
He went to work for WEDU at 15 in the production
department, running camera, audio, working on lighting and building
sets. During his employment there, Tedd Webb arranged for him
to lose his virginity in the prop room in return for setting
Tedd up with a tour of the station's master control center (what
a deal!).
Worked at Charles Fuller Productions as a
production assistant, then went on to WLCY-TV Channel 10 to work
in production. He served as a medic in the United States Navy,
1969-1972, and was stationed in Jacksonville and Key West.
Upon his discharge, he became director & producer
at TelePromTer Cable in Pinellas County, where he starred in
his own twice-a-week children's action series "Captain Spacey," produced
by WTVT's Mike Clark.
In 1974, Terry became one of the Bay Area's
finest glamour photographers, shooting fashion for Robinson's,
Maas Brothers, Colony Shops and a host of other advertisers and
catalog producers.
He continues working in photography and does
computer consulting to this day.
