Fredericks
Steve Liddick was
the morning deejay at WDAE, Tampa, FL in the late 1960s (AKA:
Steve Fredericks) when Ed Ripley was Program Director. Moved
to Rounsaville's Nashville station as Program Director of WVOL
in 1968. Switched to news when he moved to Los Angeles at the
end of that year (KIIS-FM, K-DAY (News Director), KPOL and
KRTH (K-Earth - News Director).
Steve Fredericks (real name: Liddick) and his wife, Sherry, live on a ranch east of Sacramento, CA.; Steve owns a small publishing company (Top Cat Publications) with four titles in the catalog: novels, "All That Time," and "Sky Warriors;" a memoir of his nearly half-century in the radio business, entitled "But First This Message," which includes his Tampa/St. Petersburg years, and "Campsite Gourmet" a camping cookbook.
Steve retired from broadcasting in 2008 and now writes full-time. |
