Spyder
Harrison Spyder Harrison left 933FLZ in Oct. 2001 after
6 years. As late night guy (11pm to 2am) entertained audiences
with his playful insanity (and schizophrenic tendencies) and giving
the listeners their chance with his on-air “Radio Graffiti”,
and then as the afternoon drive jock. Spyder has been a successful air personality
at some of America’s greatest radio stations including Z100
New York as “The Jammer” (working with the Q-Zoo’s
Scott Shannon) from 1986-1988, Y100 Miami, and KDWB Minneapolis,
as well as stops in Detroit, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
and in Tampa back in 80-81 as J.J. Walker, doing afternoons at
the old Y-95 when it was Top 40 in the crappy Gandy Blvd. Transmitter
building). Ron Diaz was the mid-day guy, and Uncle Johnny and
then later Bobby Oh (Tom Martinkovic - now chief engineer of Mix
100.7 and WDAE) was the night guy . Spyder has a radio production company in Clear-water
(SpyderVO.com)which voices and produces IDs and promos for radio
stations, as well as commercials for many car dealerships around
the country. Spyder grew up in New York and moved with his
family to Miami at age 13. He started in radio at 15, as the “color
man” for Miami Beach Senior High School Football on educational
radio WLRN. At age 16, Spyder was attending Miami-Dade Community
College and doing afternoon drive at a small country station in
Miami. Spyder and his family have lived in the Countryside
area of Clearwater for the last 8 years along with "Blue"
the Dog (85 pound Weimaraner) and "Roody" the Cat (85
pound feline). Web site: www.SpyderVO.com
