Grew up in Cleveland Ohio and moved to Tampa
area in 1973. I always wanted to be in radio so went to a broadcast
school and got my first job as the morning guy, (cause nobody
else wanted to do it) at WDCL in Dunedin at a salary of $80.00
a week.
Moved form there to WGUL than to WTAN, WLCY, and my last
gig in Tampa was for WMGG Magic 96 doing middays. In 1983 moved
up to the Boston area and worked for 10 months at WFEA in Manchester
NH than on to Boston stations WBOS, WSSH, WMEX, WKOX, and WLYT.
Worked on air and as PD at many of the stations.
I remember leaving the house one day on my
way to work and telling my wife I really don't have anything
else to say (on air). that was in 1992. Shortly after that I
left the business to sell Real Estate. Now manage an office in
Milton, MA just outside of Boston. The great thing about radio
was all the people you worked with -- the bad part is losing track
of all the people you work with. It was a lot of fun and I would
not have changed a thing. rscott2323@comcast.net |
