Moved to Tampa: 1973 to start at Q105

Navigated the creation and building of the Radio - with - Pictures program "ZOOTUBE" through 2 cable companies, 2 radio stations and 3 television stations. Presented white papers to the National Association of Broad-casters Convention and the Broadcast Prof-essionals Management Convention on how this was done.

Coordinating consultant for over 100 radio stations per year doing LIVE-VIA-SATELLITE programs from all major Disney parks in Florida and California. Presented white papers at various professional broadcast conventions on these press events.

Interfaces MLB radio rights holders with satellite communications during spring training season in Florida and Arizona. Supervises over 130 baseball games broadcast from Florida during the March spring training season.

Created a charter for a Customer Council by pulling together the efforts of major telephone users and GTE to address specific telecommunications and public relations directions.

Executive Producer, Technical Director, Network Creator and Marketing Consultant for a variety of sporting events including NFL, MLB, NHL, ABA.

INNOVATOR

  • Producer, Director and Technical Services Manager for the annual Cardiovascular Intervention Symposiums since 1995.

  • Created and developed, from inception to daily operation, the ZOOTUBE Radio/Television program.

  • Organized various sports networks.

  • Specialized in many "impossible" projects and provided the spirit to inspire great works from talented people.

COMMUNICATION

  • Created Tampa Bay Media Alert, a local news and information service which also provides Emergency Broadcast connections and AMBER alerts.

  • Executive Producer, Technical Director, Network Creator and Marketing Consultant for a variety of sporting events including NFL, MLB, NHL, ABA.

LEADERSHIP

  • Broadcast Consultant for Walt Disney World.

  • Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) frequency coordinator working with all major networks and international broadcasters, including two NFL Superbowls.

  • Presently on National SBE Board of directors.

EDUCATOR

  • Led development team for an experiment in economic education curriculum for fifth graders, Enterprise Village.

  • Presented lectures to the National Association of Broadcasters, National Federation of Local Cable Programmers, Society of Broadcast Engineers, BPME, and various colleges.

  • Conducted many classes on computer use, broadcast update classes, and broadcast sales training.

  • Keep abreast of legal matters pertaining the communications industry and informed or advised appropriate staff.

AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

  • ACE Award for excellence in cable programming for the ZOOTUBE radio/television program.

  • Addy award for excellence in multi-media presentation for the Ramblin' Raft Race.

  • Member of the design team for the radio studios at the Disney/MGM studios.

  • Past President of the Tampa Historical Society.
