John Manzo

John started out as one of FM deejay types when he was sixteen living in central Maine. Four years, five stations, and three markets later he discovered news / talk and never looked back.

After a successful run as operation director for WGAN / WZAN in Portland, ME, John came to Tampa to sit in the executive producer booth on 970 WFLA¹s A.M. Tampa Bay (this is where he first met Tedd). Fueled nearly exclusively by coffee and non-filtered Camels, he "Never had so much fun on so little sleep." John went on to become the asst. operations manager/marketing director/webmaster for WFLA. On weekends he either anchored news or hosted a talkshow.

John revolutionized the way morning shows are produced. Manzo is one of a kind. Never had AM Tampa Bay seen such a performer. He would mix a blend of pre booked guest, and booking on the run. No one was better than Manzo on the latter.

John is currently the program director for WJNO/WBZT in West Palm Beach, and his talkshow - Wired Radio - can still be heard Sunday mornings at 10 on 970 WFLA.
