George Nix

George Nix, one of the best memories of WLCY radio. Nix worked mid days and later on afternoon drive at the AM powerhouse during the 1970s, his style was very smooth, very energetic. He earned the nick name “Chewgababy” from Tedd Webb

George also worked at WTMP for a while, earning a reputation as a fan favorite. When they pass out the gold stars for great human beings, George Nix is at the front of the line. There isn’t anything George would not do for a friend.

During his stint at WLCY he constantly brought in the biggest ratings in his day part.

George is now co hosting mornings at WSJT, Smooth Jazz 94.1.
