Where Are They Now?

Daisy Ash

Daisy, a native of the suburbs north of New York City, had her first broadcasting experience in college (Cornell University) and it went so badly she swore never to have anything more to do with radio. (Ask her about it sometime).

Obviously she reconsidered: Daisy got into broadcasting at WFAS AM & FM in Westchester County, NY in 1988 and has been working in radio ever since, mostly as a traffic reporter/anchor. She spent seven years as an airborne reporter working for Metro Traffic in Westchester and New York City; then moved to Tampa/St Pete where she started anchoring--and still currently anchors--traffic reports on WMTX 100.7FM and WDAE-AM 620.

Daisy is a dedicated musician, playing drums, percussion, keyboards, and singing; mostly with a church band in St. Petersburg (the St. Raphael's Praise Band) but is happy to play the occasional secular gig. She's also a songwriter. And she plays ice hockey to boot (Daisy's a goaltender!). Plus she has her private pilot (single-engine-land) license.

Daisy is married to a fellow radio guy and has two cats which she adores.
