Where Are They Now?

Carl Buehl

Carl Buehl started his career 24 years ago in the field of talk radio at WPLP in Tampa/St. Petersburg Florida. As that company grew, Carl grew with them. From WPLP to Classical radio WXCR and a traffic reporting service for several stations. He was also a jock for beautiful music station WWBA in St. Petersburg. But when the WXCR owner asked if he would join the staff of their new TV station, Carl made the jump. Being invited to write, produce and host a 4- hour/6 day a week television show for WTMV- V32. He spent 2 years on-air.

Then writing, directing and editing commercials for HSN gave him the bug for larger projects. Music and television beckoned him west. Arriving in Los Angeles, Carl put his talents into cable and network television. Editing literally thousands of hours of projects with the likes of MTV, VH-1 and all of the major networks.

It was an NBC reality show called “Name Your Adventure” that put him into the Director’s Guild and onto the map of network show runners seeking his talents. He has gone from directing “America’s Most Wanted” to the paranormal world of “Sightings.“ Traversed the jungles of Fiji producing for “ECO-Challenge” with Mark Burnett to Jerry Bruckheimer and his “Amazing Race.” From the beauties of “Paradise Hotel” to making women beautiful as Senior Producer for the Fox hit “The Swan.” Carl was most recently the Co-Executive Producer of a new reality series for ABC titled “SuperNanny.”

He is currently developing television projects for Madison Road and Imagine Entertainment.
